It’s not every day one sees a covered bridge sitting across a man-made body of water. It’s also not every day one sees a covered bridge, well, sitting next to a body of water. Still, within ten miles of one another, two strikingly similar bridges in Cabot and Marshfield have these distinctions.
To be clear, the covered bridge on Cabot Plains is a true Vermont vernacular bridge, but a recent structure when compared to its inspiration, Marshfield’s Martin Bridge.
